Private User-to-User Chat in Jusnote | Secure Internal Messaging

Private Chat in Jusnote

Private Chat (user-to-user) is an additional Jusnote feature that allows users to communicate directly with each other inside the system.
Unlike the Global Chat, messages in a private chat are visible only to participants of a specific conversation, ensuring focused and confidential communication.

Global Chat in Jusnote — Detailed Overview and Best Practices

Key Features

The Private Chat in Jusnote allows you to:

  • Conduct confidential conversations between specific users

  • React to messages using emoji reactions

  • Edit your own messages

  • Delete messages

  • Pin important messages

  • Search messages within a conversation

  • View active and deactivated users

How to Start a Conversation

  1. Open the Chats section in the left-hand menu.

  2. In the Active users list, select the user you want to message.

  3. Jusnote will open a private chat with that user.

  4. Type your message and click Send.

Working with Messages

Hover over a message to open the action panel:

  • Emoji reactions - quick feedback without extra messages

  • Edit message - edit your own message

  • Delete - remove a message

  • Pin - pin important information in the Pinned tab

This is especially useful for urgent agreements, deadlines, and document links.

Pinned and Find

  • Pinned - quick access to key messages

  • Find - search through the conversation history

Practical Use Cases

1. Inside a Law Firm

  • Coordinating document edits

  • Discussing preparation timelines

  • Resolving operational questions without overloading the Global Chat

2. Partner Collaboration

  • Private agreements between lawyers

  • Coordinating responsible persons for a matter

3. Management and Control

  • Quick clarifications without creating tasks

  • Fixing decisions using Pinned messages

Recommendations for Lawyers

For effective use of private chats:

  • Pin messages with decisions and deadlines

  • Use emoji reactions instead of short “OK” or “+” replies

  • Edit messages instead of sending follow-ups

  • Keep the Global Chat for team-wide announcements
