Working with documents: uploading and deleting files

Jusnote allows storing various files and documents for sharing, organizing them by categories, matters, clients, date of uploading, and other criteria.
Currently, Jusnote supports following formats: .png, .jpeg, .tiff, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .rft, .opendocument, .exel.
Maximum size of each file: 20 MB.
A file can be attached to Contacts, Matters, Tasks, Events, Time, and Expenses. You can't attach a document to a Note.

Uploaded into the system file is displayed in the Documents section and a corresponding Contact or Matter card, specified during uploading.

Any required file can be easily uploaded to Jusnote in the "Documents" section.

Hover over the needed document and tap the right button of your mouse to open a pop-up with additional functions, such as editing or deleting. You can also open this menu by tapping on "..." on the right of each document.

After clicking on "Upload document", the system will open a pop-up in which you can specify details, connect the document with a matter, and define the main characteristics of the file.

You can also upload cloud documents to Jusnote. In this case, tap on "Upload from cloud" and copy & paste the link to the document. It allows you to fully work with files in Jusnote without uploading them directly to the system.

The only difference between uploading a cloud document and a local one is that Jusnote won't have a preview of a cloud document in its card. It happens because Jusnote doesn't have access to cloud documents.

Cloud documents have a special icon to be visible amongst your other documents.

When clicking on "Additional parameters" more fields will be opened, and you can add more information about a document as well as mark it as a "Power of attorney" or a "Warrant" and add specified details.

Any user who adds a file to the system can set up a "Reminder" and leave a message to a document, such as "Prolong Power of Attorney", "Check Contract Validity", etc.

Please note, only a user that added a file to the system (uploaded a local file or from a cloud) will receive a notification.

Also, you can upload a file to the system from any modal window of Jusnote, whether you are creating a task or an event.

Each uploaded document into Jusnote has its Card with general information and a content preview. In the document card, additional functions will be opened to work with the document (print, download file from the system, send to email, send to the client’s portal).

Any file can be removed from Jusnote by a user who has appropriate access to this document. Read more about roles and permissions in Jusnote.
