How to track time in Jusnote?

Why do you need time tracking?

When lawyers work on client assignments, it is crucial to keep track of all the time spent. Your legal practice can be dramatically improved with proper time tracking, and your team can be motivated to meet their goals. To help lawyers keep accurate records of their time spent, Jusnote has a time tracker ("timekeeper"). It is available to users of all tariff plans at the top of the system.

How to work with the tracker?

How to start tracking time?

You can start time tracking anywhere in Jusnote. Click the "Play" icon next to the "00:00:00" digits. The system will automatically start the stopwatch and will be counting time spent on the task.

You can leave the page, go to a different tab, or even leave the system. The tracker will continue counting.

How to stop tracking and add details

You can both suspend the tracker (pause) and stop the counting completely. Click on the "Pause" icon next to the stopwatch. The system will automatically open a modal window to add activity with predefined time.

To avoid showing clients an invoice that specifies time up to a few seconds, Jusnote automatically rounds up the time up to a minute.
So if you spent 15 minutes and 34 seconds on the task, the system enters it as 16 minutes.
In the open modal window, add information about the matter, rates, and write a short description of the work performed. The data will be added to the client’s invoice automatically.

How to continue time tracking

Jusnote allows you to return to any activity and continue counting time from when you paused it. Thus, if the lawyer had previously completed the 15-minute task, he may return after some time and continue to track the time from these 15 minutes.  Click on the "Time" icon on the right of the stopwatch, and the system will open a pop-up with all recent temporary records.

You can also always edit the time entry. To do this, tap on "Edit". Jusnote will open a pop-up in which you can change the information.
